Acceptable Waste
The following types of waste are accepted at the West Daviess County Landfill:
- Residential solid waste
- Commercial solid waste , (non-hazardous)
- Asbestos, (properly contained)
- Construction debris
- Appliances (a $15 service fee is charged for Freon removal )
- Paint, dried
- Contaminated soil
- Sludge
- Special Waste(s)
- Automotive batteries
- Automotive used oil
- Yard waste
- Metal
(Recyclables are designated in Blue. Red wastes require additional tests or documentation before being accepted.)
Waste types not accepted are:
- Hazardous material
- Medical waste
- Liquids that do not pass a paint filter test
- Radioactive material
- Asbestos material not properly contained
- Infectious, biological, Etiological
