Solid Waste Rate Schedule – Effective January 1, 2024
The minimum charge up to a pickup truck bed OR trailer less than 10 feet long is $10.00. For one pickup truck bed AND trailer OR one trailer more than 10 feet long, the fee is $20.00. Larger loads must use the Grimes Avenue Transfer Station or West Daviess County Landfill.
No commercial haulers may dump at the East Daviess County Transfer Station.
Contaminated Soil, Asbestos and industrial waste must be hauled to the West Daviess County Landfill for disposal. This waste will not be accepted at the Grimes Avenue Transfer Station or the East Daviess County Transfer Station.

Waste – No charge:
The following is a list of items accepted free of charge, if separated from other waste, at all permitted waste facilities owned and operated by the Daviess County Fiscal Court:
- Lead acid batteries
- Used motor oil
- Aluminum cans
- Aluminum
- Tin
PENALTIES:
The East Daviess County Transfer Station may assess a no tarp fee of $20.00 and a $50.00 fee for misidentified waste.
*Misidentified Waste is waste that a customer says is one type but is actually found to be another type OR when two or more types of material are in a load but only one type is declared. An example is a load of brush also containing tires with the customer only declaring the brush when on the scale.
