East County Transfer station
The East Daviess County Transfer Station is located at 1025 Floral Road, Philpot, KY (corner of Floral Road and KY 144) near the community of Knottsville. Its hours are Wednesday 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 4pm, and Saturday 8am to Noon. Its rates range from $8 for a pick-up load of trash up to $18 for a 1/2-ton truck with a tandem trailer.
The East Transfer Station exists to serve those customers who have small amounts of solid waste to drop off. This area is across from the scale house and boasts of a completely paved service area. 30 yard hoppers are placed for easy access by customers with cars or pickup trucks. Once the hoppers become full, we transport them to the Grimes Avenue Transfer Station. The East Transfer Station also contains recycling facilities. Used motor oil, oil filters, automotive batteries, aluminum cans and major appliances are some of the items we can accept.

West County Convenience Center
The West Daviess County Convenience Center is located at 7772 KY 815, Owensboro, KY on the West Daviess County Landfill. Its hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday 7:00am to Noon. Minimum charge is $5.
The Convenience Center is one of the first things you will see when entering the landfill and the only area most private customers see. The Convenience Center exists to serve those customers who have small amounts of solid waste to drop off. This area is across from the scale house and boasts of a completely paved service area. 30 yard hoppers are placed for easy access by customers with cars or pickup trucks. Once the hoppers become full, we transport them to the working area at the Contained Landfill or the Residual Landfill. The Convenience Center also contains our recycling facilities. Used motor oil, oil filters, automotive batteries, aluminum cans and major appliances are some of the items we can accept.
