- Are the spray parks located in Daviess County Parks free?
- Yes, the spray parks are free and open to the public each day from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 9 am – 7 pm.
- Where are the park’s administrative offices located?
- The offices are temporarily located on the campus of WKU-O, 4821 New Hartford Rd., Owensboro, KY 42303
- What are the park hours?
- November 1st- March 31st the Daviess County Fiscal Court Parks are open from 8:00am-5:00pm daily.
- April 1st- October 31st the Daviess County Fiscal Court Parks are open from 8:00am-11:00pm
- Can I bring my pets into the park?
- The Daviess County Fiscal Court Parks rules and regulations states that pets are permitted in the park only if they are on a leash that is five (5) feet or less in length. Pets shall be kept under supervision at all times and not allowed to run at large or to commit any nuisance in the limit of the park. Violations of the regulation will lead to removal of both animal and owner.
- Can I rent a Shelter/Park for a picnic or other function?
- Certainly, the park shelters are available from April 1 through October 31 annually. Single shelter or full park reservations are available online OR by contacting our administrative office at 270-685-6142. - If I don’t live in Daviess County, can I still reserve a shelter in the Daviess County Fiscal Court Parks?

- Is alcohol allowed in the parks?
- NO. The Daviess County Fiscal Court Parks rules and regulations states that no person shall have in his/her possession any intoxicating beverage while visiting parks property.
- Are there any organized team sports to sign my children up to participate in?
- Organized youth sports are administered by individual leagues who utilize park facilities. Look on our website at Community Partners or contact us by calling 270-685-6142
- Does Daviess County have any special events or festivals?
- Yes, Daviess County Fiscal Court host dynamic special events at Panther Creek Park highlighting enjoyable family outdoor activities including Christmas at Panther Creek (Friday after Thanksgiving through January 2nd.) Daviess County Fiscal Court Parks are also used to host many other outdoor activities, sporting events, and festivals. These include, but are not limited to, ROMP Bluegrass Festival (late June at Yellow Creek Park), Take a Kid Fishing (early June at Panther Creek Park), Take a Kid Camping (late October) and the Corvette Lover’s ‘Vette Club Car Show (late July at Yellow Creek Park). - Can we fish in the lakes/ponds of Daviess County Fiscal Parks and Recreation?
- The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife stock our lakes annually through the “FiNS” grant programs. Stockings include trout in the winter and catfish in the spring and summer. ALL KDWFR REGULATIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED.
- Can I fish from a kayak or Canoe in the lakes at the county parks?
- Swimming, frog gigging, and boating are prohibited in the Daviess County Fiscal Court Park ponds/lakes.
- Is there a public pool in Daviess County?
- A traditional public pool is not available in the Daviess County Fiscal Court Parks however three spray parks are available for free. These are in operation daily between Memorial Day and Labor Day between the hours of 9 am and 7 pm.
- Are the disc golf courses available year around?
- Yes, as long as the park’s are open so are the courses. The courses may be closed periodically based on the park’s calendar and other events that maybe occurring at any given time. For more information contact the park’s office at 270-685-6142 for complete details.
