RWRA has closed KY 2699/Goetz Drive at the intersection with South Town Boulevard in Owensboro. The lane restriction is necessary to run a bypass sewer in an effort to address a failed sewer system.
Currently, Goetz Drive is closed with local traffic only from U.S. 431 (Frederica Street) to South Town Boulevard (KY 2121).
This effort was expected to last 3 – 4 weeks but due to recent local flooding and a high water table in Daviess County, the work has been extended. Completion is unknown at this time.
