Daviess County Public Works focuses heavily on keeping roadways and right-of-ways clear and safe. Debris removal will be handled by the Road Department on all County-maintained rights-of-way, including trees that have fallen on the County rights-of-way (to the extent of the part of the tree that impacts the right-of-way).
Daviess County citizens should be aware that trees down on private property are the responsibility of the property owner, regardless of where it originated.
Property owners may not move brush within a right-of-way for disposal.
