Third Highest Year for Christmas at Panther Creek

Daviess County Fiscal Court presented checks to five non-profit organizations for their participation in “Christmas at Panther Creek.”

These agencies spent eight nights each accepting the gate admission between Thanksgiving and January 2.  A total of $30,800 was collected, the third highest amount to date.

The non-profits included: Aubrey’s Song Foundation for Eating Disorders, the Dust Bowl Basketball Tournament, Moseleyville Volunteer Fire Department, Stanley Playground Association, and the Help Office of Owensboro.

These agencies were selected in a random drawing of 30 non-profits in October 2023.

Half of the funds are distributed equally among the non-profits ($3,080 each), while the remainder is put back into the display for the next year so it continues to grow.

“Christmas at Panther Creek” will return on November 29, 2024 (Black Friday).  Daviess County non-profit agencies may apply at https://www.daviessky.org/christmasapplication/.
