On an average day, the Grimes Avenue Transfer Station handles 600 tons of garbage! Eight semi-trucks are hauling four to five loads a piece to the Daviess County Landfill.
Supervisor Brian Lanham says all loads are covered with an automated tarp to keep trash and debris from blowing out onto the roadway.
