Spring Planting Ahead of Schedule in Daviess County

Spring planting is off to a strong start in Daviess County after a warm, dry March.

Clint Hardy is the Extension Agent for Agriculture and provides this update from the farm of Jeff and John Rice in Utica, Kentucky.

The Rice family has adopted a proficient cover crop practice on their farm – planting into a mixture of cereal rye, crimson clover, Austrian winter peas and canola.
