Daviess County Fiscal Court has received numerous complaints about litter and debris on Highway 56 and Highway 81.
In response, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office will increase monitoring of these roadways for violations, specifically related to littering and escaping contents. This increased enforcement will begin in the next several days.
As a reminder, all loads being transported to the Landfill should be covered with a tarp. The new Solid Waste Rate Schedule that took effect on January 1, 2024 includes a No Tarp Penalty Fee of $20.
