A new program at the Daviess County Detention Center is providing a pathway to employment for inmates upon their release.
Reentry Success was launched with the goal of developing critical workplace skills needed for jobs in manufacturing and skilled trades.
The inmates have an opportunity to meet with employers after graduating with their Enhanced Operator I and Workforce Readiness certificates.
This program is a partnership between Daviess County Fiscal Court, the City of Owensboro, the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation, and Owensboro Community & Technical College.
