The Daviess County Detention Center is progressing with cell restoration in the main Building 1.
Jailer Art Maglinger provides an update from C-Pod, where inmate workers are painting and cleaning a housing unit. With the total jail population under 600, Maglinger says it was an opportune time for this restoration work.
The process started several years ago with the outer buildings that were constructed in the 1990s.
