Processing times for U.S. passports have returned to pre-pandemic normal.
Applications will be processed within 6-8 weeks for routine service, and 2-3 weeks for expedited service, which costs an additional $60.
The Daviess County Clerk’s Office is an approved Passport Acceptance Facility. You must apply in person if at least one of the following statements is true:
- You are applying for your first U.S. passport
- You are under age 16
- Your previous U.S. passport was issued when you were under age 16
- Your previous U.S. passport was lost, stolen, or damaged
- Your previous U.S. passport was issued more than 15 years ago
