King Kids Fishing Tournament at Yellow Creek Park

Attention all young anglers! Grab your rods and reels because the highly anticipated King Kids Fishing Tournament is scheduled for May 4th, Saturday, from 9 am to 11 am at Yellow Creek Park.  Register on the day of the event at the park.

This first year event promises a morning filled with excitement and a chance to catch an Albino fish for a prize! All kids registered will receive a free fishing pole and tackle box after the event.

“Daviess County Parks & Recreation is excited to collaborate with Visit Owensboro and the King Kat Tournament Trail on a youth fishing event at Yellow Creek Park.  Our park lake is stocked throughout the year with hundreds of catfish and rainbow trout.  It’s the perfect place to learn to fish or showcase your skills.  Join the fun and compete for some fantastic prizes at this event.”

Date and Location:

The tournament will take place on May 4th, Saturday, at Yellow Creek Park, located at 5710 Kentucky Highway 144. Nestled amidst the serene beauty of nature, Yellow Creek Park provides the perfect setting for a memorable day of fishing adventures.

Who Can Participate:

Young anglers aged 15 and under are invited to join in on the fun. Whether you’re a seasoned fisherman or a novice just starting out, everyone is welcome to cast their lines and try their luck at reeling in the big one. Limited poles and bait available to those who do not have.  All participants will have the chance to put their angling prowess to the test while enjoying the beauty of Yellow Creek Park.

The tournament will run from 9 am to 11 am, giving participants ample time to showcase their fishing skills and compete for some fantastic prizes.
