A new cultural event is coming to the Owensboro riverfront and Panther Creek Park on May 17-19.
The Owensboro Cricket Association and Gujrati Samaj of Tri-State present the Holi Celebration, Kite Festival, and Cricket Tournament, in partnership with Visit Owensboro. The Holi Celebration will be part of Friday After 5 on May 17 with a festival of colors, Bollywood music, food trucks, and various unique vendors from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at McConnell Plaza.
A Kite Festival is planned for Panther Creek Park on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fly high in spirit and paint the skies with colorful kites while enjoying traditional cuisine. The cricket tournament will be played throughout the day on May 18-19 at Panther Creek Park.
