Local first responders participate in a tabletop exercise with the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport.
The tabletop exercise is performed to ensure airport and community preparedness. A full-scale exercise is staged every three years as required by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Jeremy Smith is the Chief of the Daviess County Fire Department, overseeing the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) facility for the airport.
