Daviess County Animal Care & Control celebrated the opening of the Spay Neuter Clinic, a 1,900 sq. ft. addition to the existing Animal Shelter on Highway 81.
“Our Spay Neuter Clinic serves non-profits and the animals here at the shelter,” said Ashley Thompson, Director. “We are just trying to promote spay neuter and find ways to reduce the overpopulation of pets in our community.”
“We are begging the general public to do what they can to help us by spaying and neutering your own pet,” added Dr. Julie Gray, County Veterinarian. “If you can foster, that will help get these animals into homes, allow us to provide shelter for incoming animals, and hopefully reduce the euthanasia rates.”
