The Daviess County Clerk’s Office is adjusting to a new vehicle information database that arrived with some significant issues.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has been working around-the-clock to push out a fix. However, expect long lines and a significantly longer processing time in the Auto Department.
Some transactions fail at the time of checkout, which has been a frustrating experience for staff and customers.
Due to the high volume of foot traffic, the Clerk’s Office is unable to process any phone renewals.
If possible, take advantage of the online renewal through drive.ky.gov. Be prepared with your title number, plate number, and a debit/credit card.
Customers may also mail their renewal.

The Auto Department is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Clerk’s Office may stop the line at 3:30 p.m. in order to close out business for the day and finish processing transactions for customers that have been waiting.
