The Daviess County Road Department is working around-the-clock to clear county roads and subdivisions following Thursday’s winter storm.
County Engineer Mark Brasher says the initial burst of snow arrived around 8 a.m. and looks to be tapering off, with total accumulation of around 3 inches.
The County has dispatched 11 trucks to salt and plow county roads. A second crew will arrive at 7 p.m. with a focus on priority routes, bridges, hills, and subdivisions.
Brasher anticipates the cleanup effort will be complete by Friday morning. He’s encouraging drivers to be cautious and slow down.
