As part of the recycling/environmental program, Daviess County Solid Waste has an eight-acre composting facility at the Landfill.
It repurposes sewer sludge and yard waste to create over 1,500 tons of Class I compost each year. Watch the video with Solid Waste Manager Robbie Hocker to see how the material is turned with the SCARAB machine.
