The Daviess County Fire Department demonstrates a modified dash lift as part of extrication training at McCarty’s Pro Towing & Automotive.
Chief Jeremy Smith says firefighters must review these extrication techniques yearly.
In this instance, they encountered some high strength steel in the A-Posts up front. Ultimately, the crew was able to raise the dashboard several feet with hydraulic rescue tools.
