The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and the Daviess County Clerk’s Office will be closed on Friday, May 9.
However, the Sheriff will offer a remote vehicle inspection site at 5333 Frederica Street, the location of the Kentucky Sound Stage and former Malco Theater.
The site will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Remember that all windshields must be fixed and free of cracks before the inspection.
Drivers should bring an official letter from their insurance company, indicating the vehicle is a total loss due to hail damage. This letter should contain the VIN number.
Additional requirements include the original title, driver’s license and form of payment. The $15 inspection fee may be paid with check or cash. No digital payments will be accepted at the remote site.
Don’t miss this opportunity, especially for large trucks, enclosed trailers, and RVs. Avoid the downtown traffic!
