The use of sandbags is a simple, but effective way to prevent or reduce flood damage.
When they are properly filled and placed, the sandbags can act as a barrier to divert moving water. If you live in Daviess County and need sandbags for flood protection, contact the Emergency Management Agency at (270) 685-8448.
The agency will schedule a time for pickup and have someone present to assist. Several hundred sandbags remain from Monday’s distribution at the Daviess County Operations Center.
