A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin paving 4.5 miles of the U.S. 60 Bypass this week.
Work is planned in both eastbound and westbound lanes. New asphalt will be applied to U.S. 60 between KY-54 and KY-2830 to repair cracking and fatigue within the existing roadway.
The contractor will be closing one lane at a time. Work is slated to begin on Monday, August 12 and continue daily through Friday, August 23, with an anticipated 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule each day.
A similar paving project is planned on KY-603 between the U.S. 60 overpass and the CSX railroad crossing.
