The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office held a swearing-in ceremony with Deputy Kolbe Mattingly and his new K-9 partner, Cash.
They attended a 10-week training program through Cedar Creek Kennels in Monmouth, Illinois. Cash will turn two years old in February. The German Shepherd is originally from Budapest, Hungary.
The Sheriff’s Office added a therapy dog, Claire, earlier this year as part of the expanding K-9 unit.
