Floodwater is starting to recede in Daviess County. However, 49 county roads and 15 state highways are still impacted by high water.
The Daviess County Emergency Management Agency provided an update on response and recovery efforts from Pettit on Monday, April 14. An emergency shelter is still available at Owensboro Christian Church on New Hartford Road with cots, linens, food and water provided.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has a team on the ground assessing flood damage. Please contact the EMA office if your home or business was impacted by high water. Examples may include submerged HVAC units, flooded crawlspaces, or water inside the residence.
Please provide the address, date/time of damage and pictures in an email.
