The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet presented Rural Secondary Road Program recommendations to Daviess County Fiscal Court on Thursday, July 25.
The first project involves resurfacing KY-140 from the McLean County line to Nalley Road, a distance of approximately six miles. This stretch of highway passes through Utica across U.S. 431 in southern Daviess County. The total cost is projected at $565,000 and includes several road pipe replacements.
The second project involves KY-662 from the intersection of KY-405 in Yelvington to Campground Road, a distance of approximately three miles. KYTC is currently addressing several base failures on this highway in eastern Daviess County. Resurfacing will likely occur next spring at a cost of $251,000, including the culvert replacements.
