The Convention & Visitors Bureau, Visit Owensboro, made a huge announcement on the riverfront with organizers from the Great Race.
In 2024, the nine-day road rally will start in Owensboro and finish in Gardiner, Maine, just outside of Augusta. The competitive, controlled-speed endurance race covers 2,300 miles.
Back in June 2021, the Great Race brought more than a hundred antique collector cars to Owensboro for an overnight stop.
