Daviess County Fiscal Court has accepted the recommendations of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet regarding the rural secondary road program.
Approximately $420,000 will be designated for Kentucky Highway 140, between Nalley Road and U.S. 231 in southern Daviess County.
Matt West, Branch Manager for Project Delivery and Preservation, said the project will include the replacement of several culverts and resurfacing the pavement. The average traffic count on this highway is 863 cars per day.
Fiscal Court voted to retain nearly $405,000 in flex funds for local county road improvements.
