The Solid Waste Department has reached the final stage of the cell construction on the 16.6-acre expansion of the Contained Landfill.
For the past two years, a contractor has been delivering gravel to the Landfill to be used as a protective cover for the plastic liner. Watch as the gravel is dumped into the cell and smoothed out with a dozer, prior to the state inspection of the site.
Commissioner Chris Castlen is the liaison for the Solid Waste Department and provides this update with Manager Robbie Hocker.
