The rehabilitation of the elevated trail network continues at Panther Creek Park.
As weather permits, the parks department will rebuild the section between the Nature Lair Gazebo and the swinging bridge. This project involves the replacement of the wooden walkway, fencing and handrails.
The elevated trails were first constructed in the early 1990s with used rails donated by CSX Transportation. While the support rails remain in good condition, the wooden walking planks and fencing need to be replaced for safety and longevity.
This is the final section of the original boardwalk to be updated. Contact the parks office with any questions at (270) 685-6142.
