EMA Requesting Flood Damage Reports, Sandbags Available

The Daviess County Emergency Management Agency is collecting information from property owners impacted by severe flooding on February 15-16.

These impacts may have included water in the basement or first floor of the home.  If you do not have flood insurance, please call the office at 270-685-8448 to report damage.

The agency is also seeking volunteers to help with filling and loading sandbags.  This opportunity is available from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 17.  Please wear gloves and bring a shovel to the Daviess County Operations Center at 2620 Kentucky Highway 81.

Look for the sandbag loading area near the salt bays in the back of the facility.

The sandbags will be available to Daviess County residents on a first-come, first serve basis.  Each person will need to bring a bill with their home address and may take up to 100 sandbags per residence.
