The elevated trails are back open at Panther Creek Park following extensive flooding in February.
While the forest floor and trees are coated in mud, all of the debris has been cleared from the boardwalk.
Our parks maintenance team is replacing the wooden floorboards, fencing and handrails at the Nature Lair Gazebo. It’s part of the larger trail rehabilitation project that started two years ago.
Constructed in the early 1990s with used rails donated by CSX, the elevated trails are an iconic feature of the park.
