The East Daviess County Transfer Station is located at 1025 Floral Road, near Highway 144 in Knottsville.
Don Bunch has been the Scale Operator for the past 13 years. He says the Transfer Station exists to serve customers with small loads of solid waste.
The hoppers are transported to the Grimes Avenue Transfer Station with the garbage ultimately going to the Landfill for final disposal.
The East Transfer Station is open on Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to Noon.
