The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Daviess County on Thursday, April 20.
Windy conditions and low relative humidity will lead to an elevated fire danger. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
The Daviess County Fire Department would like to remind all county residents to request a burn permit, if they live on less than one-acre of land and plan to burn anything other than leaves.

These permits are FREE and may be issued for two weeks. Please note that open burning is not permitted within the corporate limits of the City of Owensboro.
