The Airport Board is recommending a proposal by Contour Airlines to provide non-stop service to Chicago.
Director Tristan Durbin provides an update on the Essential Air Service that could start in early August from Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport.
If approved by the Department of Transportation, OWB would be the only airport in the region with non-stop flights to Chicago.
Chicago O’Hare International Airport offers daily direct flights to 154 U.S. cities and 61 international destinations.
