^{Daviess County Fire Department proudly serves and protects 55,000 people living in an area of 500 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations; one being located at the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport and the other at Countryside Subdivision on highway 54 East. Our department is staffed with 29 paid personnel. Twenty-two are EMT-B and seven are EMT-P (Paramedic) certified and all are trained to the Haz-Mat tech level.  We made just over 2150 calls for the year 2006 and also protect the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport.}
