
Second Governor's Award for Outstanding Contributions to Kentucky Law Enforcement

The Governor's Award for Outstanding Contributions to Kentucky Law enforcement rewards and honors Kentucky law enforcement leaders who work on a statewide level to improve police services. As the 2004 and 2008 recipient Sheriff Cain exemplifies the dynamic, progressive leadership that has earned Kentucky's law enforcement community a national reputation.
Sheriff Cain was nominated by his peers, who have been schooled in modern leadership roles and practice through the Department of Criminal Justice Training Kentucky's Institute, including graduates of the School of Strategic Leadership, Criminal Justice Executive Development and the Academy of Police Supervision.
Sheriff Cain in the only recipient that has received this award twice.
