Daviess County Parks and
Recreation Newsletter
Daviess County Parks and Recreation has certainly enjoyed much growth and relocation over the last two years. June 2004 the Daviess County Parks and Recreation administrative offices were relocated to the Daviess County Government Operations Center at 2620 Kentucky Highway 81. Located just a few miles from Panther Creek Park the new Operations Center offers much more efficient use of technology and equipment. Located also at the Operations Center is the Engineering Department, Public Works, Animal Control and Solid Waste Coordinator. These different departments provide resources that are now available to Daviess County Parks and Recreation face to face. Other recent growth for Daviess County Parks and Recreation includes Horse Fork Creek Park on Fairview Drive. 66 acres will provide a large recreational facility close to home for many in Daviess County, Kentucky. 9 soccer fields provide for the sport of choice but other amenities will include a large new zero depth spray park, playground equipment, picnic shelters, fishing, nature trails and a connection to the Daviess County Greenbelt. For additional information about Horse Fork Creek Park, please contact the Daviess County Parks and Recreation at (270)685-6142
